2025 Journal Prompts & Reflections & Dreams

A new year is always a good time for reflection, setting intentions and our favourite dreaming. And guess what? None of this has to be about changing yourself, doing a complete overhaul of your life, or throwing everything from 2024 out the window. Instead, we are inviting you to do the exact opposite with us this year.
This blog post is a series of questions to help you as you enter 2025 or whenever you feel the pull to be intentional about beginnings and ends.
Reflecting on Lessons
Beginnings and Endings are a good time to sit with the lessons from the past. Even those moments we want to forget, the ones we still don’t fully understand yet, and our happiest moments come with important lessons that can help us expand in whatever beginning we are being faced with.

  • What are some things I was wrong about last year?
  • What beliefs did I hold that were proven wrong or don’t feel true anymore?
  • What did my hardest moments teach me about myself? about life?
  • What did my happiest moments teach me about myself? about life?
Intention Setting
Intentions can be a powerful way to get clear on what / how you intend to show up for yourself, others, your community, etc., in this phase of your life. Here are some easy steps when setting an intention:

1. Your Why: Setting an intention is a way to empower YOU; to individualize your experience and allow yourself to focus on something that really fits for you.

2. The Anchor: An intention is an anchor for the meaning-making process in life when things become challenging or unexpected. How can you connect with your WHY when carrying out your intention may start feeling challenging or scary? Pro Tip: Keep it simple

3. Don’t Forget Emotions: How will you feel when living life guided by your intentions? What emotions will get bigger or smaller?

4. Write It Like You Mean It: Writing intentions on paper or sharing them with people are essential steps of the process. Put them out into the universe, and remember your words matter. Write intentions with words in the present tense (ex., I show up for myself with brave, loving compassion in the face of fear and doubt) vs. in future tense (ex., I want to show up for myself with brave, loving compassion in the face of fear and doubt).

DREAM

The bigger, the better, if what you write down feels scary or a bit delusional, you’re doing it right, keep going 😉

  • If nothing was in my way and everything was possible, what would I dream my life would be/feel like?
  • What are the things I truly want in life – even if those things would hurt people’s feelings, cause disruptions, or radically change life the way I am living it right now?
  • What is the wildest, dreamiest version of how you see 2025 ending?
  • Last but not least, If you could really be honest with yourself in vivid detail, what is your dream for your life?
P.S, Dreams come true every day, and they almost always start out feeling impossible and silly… so dream big anyway <3
