Why don’t you offer weight loss?

If you have stumbled upon our website desperate for a solution to “fix” your body through weight loss once and for all – you are not alone. Many folks have fallen victim to the clutches of diet culture that lead us to believe that the key to health and happiness is through the pursuit of changing the shape and size of one’s body. We would like to take this opportunity to extend SO MUCH compassion to folks who come to us with this experience. The truth is that there is often something deeper than a simple need to “lose weight”. There is a growing body of research to support the concept that weight loss will not cure poor self-esteem, improve body image, or improve health. Furthermore, the pursuit of weight loss has been proven to cause harm to people’s physical and mental health. If you would like to learn more, we would be happy to touch base with you.

Are your services covered by insurance?

While our services are not covered by O.H.I.P, they may be partially or fully covered by extended insurance plans. We kindly ask that all clients confirm the details of their coverage with their insurer prior to initiating services. We are happy to provide you with a formal receipt after each session for you to submit to your insurer directly, and remind all clients that Healing Recovery Therapy Centre is unable to reimburse any rejected claims.

How much do your appointments cost?

Current fees range from $60-$320 per session, based on the type of service and appointment length. Fees are subject to change.

How do I pay for my appointment?

Payments can be made by adding a credit card to your client file, or e-transfer to info@healingrecoverycentre.ca . To add a credit card to your file, please log in to your Jane account, navigate to the “Credit Cards on File” area, and click on the “Add New Card” button to enter and save your credit card information. Payments for individual sessions are due at the end of each session, and for groups and workshops are due at the time of registration.

How do I re-print receipts to submit to my insurance company or for my taxes?

All receipts are issued via Jane Software and sent to the email address attached to your account. If you are unable to retrieve a receipt from your email inbox, we ask that you email info@healingrecoverycentre.ca to provide you with a copy of your receipt.

I submitted a payment for my appointment, how do I know if it went through?

For e-transfers, once the payment is received it will be applied to your Jane account and a receipt will be emailed to you within a couple of days. Credit card payments are charged at the end of each appointment and a receipt should be emailed to you fairly instantly.

I have had a phone consultation and am ready to book. How do I schedule my first appointment?

To book your first appointment please email info@healingrecoverycentre.ca. We will set up an account for you in our online booking system, and book your first appointment for you. All subsequent appointments can be booked online through your new Jane account.

I am already a client. How do I cancel or reschedule an existing appointment?

To change, reschedule or cancel an existing appointment, please login to your Jane account here. Please note, a late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the professional’s day that could have been offered to another client. As such, we kindly ask that clients provide more than 48 hours notice to change or cancel appointments. A charge of up to 100% of the original appointment fee will be charged for missed appointments or appointments canceled with less than 48 hours notice. We appreciate prompt arrival for appointments. Please notify your provider if you will be late.
